About Us
  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
    • We offer RISK-FREE BOOKING. No deposit, rescheduling or cancellation fees. Our starting rate is $135/hr for 2 men M - F, and $145/hr S & S. For additional movers it is $45/hr per mover. Ask about our discounts and promos!
  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
    • We will ask a questions about your items, contact info and gather location information and availability preferences, then we will send an estimate. We can add you to the schedule with no deposit or card info needed. We send reminder emails, and the finally we reach out the day before to reconfirm. *If your home is 3,000 sf or more we must do an onsite estimate.
  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
    • 12 years management and sales experience in the moving industry + a degree in psychology
  • How did you get started doing this type of work?
    • I worked in management for a SC based moving company for 9 years before starting River City Moving.
  • What types of customers have you worked with?
    • Literally all types.
  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
    • Our job types and how long they take varies because of the wide variety of work we do.
  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
    • Always check the reviews and be wary of companies that want your payment info before ever starting the job. Always ask them if they plan to charge you for supplies used at the end, as many do charge and do not reveal that information in advance.
  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
    • Consider that boxes, misc items and long walks to and from the truck will run up the amount of time it takes to complete your move. It's best to box everything up that can fit into a box, that way the movers can dolly them. Be honest with your mover about everything you have so that you can get a more accurate time and cost estimate. Always make sure they plan to pad and wrap your furniture as well!
